I love writing and turning my lyrics into demo recordings. My songs move between the autobiographical, semi-autobiographical, and fictional. My writing is also inspired by art, film, culture, and places with history, which often influence the imagery and atmosphere of each story.

I sometimes move across genres and experiment with different styles. I also write in non-linear time, reimagining stories, feelings, and locations that have stayed with me. While personal details from my life appear in my songs, they are not literal records of my life.

“Byrd” is a synthesis of my own creative voice and the tools I use to create sound and production. The sound direction, atmosphere, and songwriting come from me, including the themes, lyrics, and core of each song.

I’m also open to collaboration. If one of my demo tracks speaks to you and you’d like to bring it to life, feel free to get in touch. For me, nothing replaces live music.
