ABOUT ME

I love writing and shaping my lyrics into demo recordings. My songwriting moves between autobiographical, semi-autobiographical, and fictional. Even when a song is fictional, it still carries elements of my world through passing moments, colors, and places. Subtle details breathe life into each piece.

It is also inspired by artists, film, art, and culture that shape the imagery, atmosphere, and direction of the story. I move across genres and experiment between styles. I’m drawn to places with history, and I sometimes approach time as non-linear, which shapes how I write, by recontextualizing stories and locations I’ve visited that have stayed with me.

“Byrd” is a synthesis of myself and the tools I use to shape sound and production. The idea for the sound and its shaping comes from me, and the songwriting, including its themes, lyrics, and emotional core, is entirely mine.

My art is a space for expressing ideas and stories rather than a literal record of my life, unless I clearly indicate otherwise. I’m grateful to have people around me who understand this, and I trust others will respect this boundary.
